2nd May 2018 - 1st May (10.00am-12.00pm): Moving Mamas - Yoga and Movement Meditation for Mum's and Babes (0-4)

Yoga and Movement Meditation for Mammas and Babes (0-4 years). An opportunity to stretch, move and breathe with your little one amongst a community of other women in similar stages of life. Traditional yoga postures are taught to help with postnatal recovery and with the general aches and pains of baby carrying. Movement meditation is the practice of mindfulness through movement to music, it is a playful and pleasurable way of feeling, meditating and connecting with your babe. A few songs are woven in to further entertain the little ones and promote learning. Moving Mammas hopes to meet the needs of both mother and child to move, play, feel, express and relax. At the end of this 90 minute class we drink tea and chat. 22nd Mar (7.15pm-8.00pm): Absolute Beginners Adult Fitness Classes

No upper age limit, Friendly, fun and supportive classes for men and women to take the first step with an experienced and qualified Instructor. Work at your own pace with a variety of exercises and achieve personal goals. Choose a quick 20 minute aerobic style workout or enjoy a longer 45 minute circuit style class, or have a go at both! 23rd Mar (1.00pm-4.30pm): Essential Tremor Awareness Day (neurological movement disorder)

As part of National Essential Tremor Awareness Month, National Tremor Foundation invite you to come along and find out more about this common neurological movement disorder that can affect any age from birth and is estimated to be 8-10 times more prevalent than Parkinson’s. Mainly develops in the hands, head. But can also affect legs, trunk/and or voice. Over 1 million people are affected in UK and 60% of all cases are said to be inherited. City of Canterbury Chamber Choir, director Edward-Rhys Harry, with Ed Kemp-Luck, organ and piano.
