Election Debates on BBC Radio Kent

LIVE DEBATES ON BBC RADIO KENT FOR GENERAL ELECTION 2010

The BBC has announced wide ranging coverage of the General Election 2010 to help voters in Kent make informed choices about who they want to cast their vote for.

BBC Radio Kent will be hosting live local radio debates, while TV regional news programme South East Today will be broadcasting a TV debate covering the issues important to our region. Other coverage will include in-depth analysis of both local concerns and key constituency battles, and a special results programme.

The BBC will help people examine the policies and manifestos of all the political parties, and explore the issues that matter most in their local areas through comprehensive, relevant and impartial coverage.

Coverage and analysis will be available across TV, radio, online, blogs, and mobile – so that no matter where people are, they can get the news that matters. In the South East key events include:

  • BBC Radio Kent Debates taking on local and national concerns hosted by presenter John Warnett and broadcast live between 9am-10am:
     
  • Friday April 30 – debate live from Canterbury, including: Gwyn Prosser (Lab); Roger Gale (Con); Guy Voizey (Lib Dem); Frank McKenna (UKIP) and Green party representative to be confirmed.
