5th, 12th, 19th, 26th Jul (7.15pm-8.00pm): Absolute Beginners Adult Fitness Classes

No upper age limit, Friendly, fun and supportive classes for men and women to take the first step with an experienced and qualified Instructor. Work at your own pace with a variety of exercises and achieve personal goals. Choose a quick 20 minute aerobic style workout or enjoy a longer 45 minute circuit style class, or have a go at both! Please bring a drink with you, free parking at the school. Find us on FB 1st Step Fitness Chartham. The Canterbury Singers, director Elizabeth Jenkins, with Charles Francis (organ). A selection of madrigals, part songs, folk songs including a selection from Copland's "Old American Songs", and other lighter repertoire, with readings and organ solos.

14th Jul (6.30pm-8.00pm): Music for a Summer’s Evening

City of Canterbury Chamber Choir, director Edward-Rhys Harry, with Ed Kemp-Luck, piano. Programme to include Vaughan Williams: "Serenade to Music", Cecilia McDowall: "A Fancy of Folk Songs", Britten: "Five Flower Songs", McCabe: "The Lily-white Rose", Chilcott: "The Lily and the Rose" and "Like a Singing Bird", and Stanford: "The Blue Bird". 21st Jul: Cherry Fair

With over 400 varieties of Cherry in the National Fruit Collection at Brogdale we have something to celebrate. The Cherry Fair is packed with cherry entertainment including a cherry pip spit, messy cherry pie eating competitions, live music, local producers and a display of cherries like you have never seen or tasted before!
