2nd May 2018 - 1st May (10.00am-12.00pm): Moving Mamas - Yoga and Movement Meditation for Mum's and Babes (0-4)

Yoga and Movement Meditation for Mammas and Babes (0-4 years). An opportunity to stretch, move and breathe with your little one amongst a community of other women in similar stages of life. Traditional yoga postures are taught to help with postnatal recovery and with the general aches and pains of baby carrying. Movement meditation is the practice of mindfulness through movement to music, it is a playful and pleasurable way of feeling, meditating and connecting with your babe. A few songs are woven in to further entertain the little ones and promote learning. Moving Mammas hopes to meet the needs of both mother and child to move, play, feel, express and relax. At the end of this 90 minute class we drink tea and chat. 24th Mar (6.30pm-8.00pm): Handel and the Here and Now

City of Canterbury Chamber Choir, director Edward-Rhys Harry, with Ed Kemp-Luck, organ and piano. Programme to include Handel "Coronation Anthems", contrasted with the choir's regular accompanying selection of shorter works: by Victoria (O Quam Gloriosum), Pearsall (Lay A Garland) and Bruckner, not forgetting living composers, on this occasion Cecilia McDowall ("A Fancy of Folksongs"), Morten Lauridsen, Ola Gjeilo, Phillip Cooke, James Aburn and Edward-Rhys Harry.
