2nd May - 1st May 2019 (10.00am-12.00pm): Moving Mamas - Yoga and Movement Meditation for Mum's and Babes (0-4)

Yoga and Movement Meditation for Mammas and Babes (0-4 years). An opportunity to stretch, move and breathe with your little one amongst a community of other women in similar stages of life. Traditional yoga postures are taught to help with postnatal recovery and with the general aches and pains of baby carrying. Movement meditation is the practice of mindfulness through movement to music, it is a playful and pleasurable way of feeling, meditating and connecting with your babe. A few songs are woven in to further entertain the little ones and promote learning. Moving Mammas hopes to meet the needs of both mother and child to move, play, feel, express and relax. At the end of this 90 minute class we drink tea and chat. Sunday 15 July 2018 Cherry Fair With over 400 varieties of Cherry in the National Fruit Collection at Brogdale we have something to celebrate. The Cherry Fair is packed with cherry entertainment including a cherry pip spit, messy cherry pie eating competitions, live music, local producers and a display of cherries like you have never seen or tasted before

15th Jul (6.30pm-8.00pm): Fables and Fauré

City of Canterbury Chamber Choir, director Edward-Rhys Harry, with Ed Kemp-Luck, organ, perform one of the best loved of all choral works, Fauré's "Requiem". The programme also features works by two of England's most popular contemporary choral composers, Cecilia McDowall ("A Time for All Seasons") and Bob Chilcott ("Aesop's Fables"). The story telling continues in the first performance of Edward-Rhys Harry's "The Stag, the Fish and the Honeycomb".
